Skincare Tracker — Privacy Policy

Introduction
Skincare Tracker ("the App") is developed and operated by Area43 Labs. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.
Skincare Tracker helps you track your daily skincare routines, manage your product collection, understand your spending, and see skin progress over time — all stored locally on your device.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
Information We Collect
Usage and Analytics Data
We automatically collect anonymized usage data to understand how users interact with the App, including:
- Features and screens accessed
- Session duration and frequency
- In-app actions and events
- App version and OS version
Device Information
We collect basic device information required for the App to function and for crash diagnosis:
- Device type and model
- Operating system version
- Unique device identifiers (e.g., advertising ID, where permitted)
- App version
Skincare Data (Local Only)
All skincare data you enter into the App — including routines, product details, check-off history, and analytics — is stored locally on your device only. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to Area43 Labs or any third party.
Photos (Local Only)
If you choose to take or select photos (for product images or progress photos), these images are stored locally on your device. Photos are never uploaded to Area43 Labs servers or shared with third parties. The App requires camera and photo library access only to provide its core photo features.
Advertising Data
The App displays ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings.
How We Use Your Information
We use collected data to:
- Provide and maintain the App's core functionality
- Improve the App based on usage patterns and crash reports
- Display ads through Google AdMob (free tier)
- Process in-app purchases through Apple and Google (via RevenueCat)
- Communicate important updates, if you have opted in to notifications
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Data Storage and Security
All personal skincare data (routines, products, check-off history, photos, analytics) is stored locally on your device. Area43 Labs does not operate servers that store your personal content.
Anonymized analytics and crash data collected by third-party services (Firebase, AdMob) is stored on their respective secure infrastructure. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure.
Despite our safeguards, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
Since your skincare data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.
Anonymized, aggregated analytics data collected by third-party services may be retained according to their respective retention policies.

CCPA (California users): If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@area43labs.com and we will delete the information promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
