Crated: Moving Box Organizer — Terms of Service

Introduction

Crated: Moving Box Organizer ("the App") is developed and operated by Area43 Labs. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

The App helps individuals and households inventory moving boxes by assigning QR code labels, photographing contents, searching across boxes, and tracking unpacking progress.

Please read these Terms carefully before using the App. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to these Terms. If you are using the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Area43 Labs reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Account Terms

The App works fully without an account. Account creation is optional and is only triggered when you choose to enable household sync.

Your responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and truthful information when creating your account
• Keep your login credentials secure and do not share them with others
• Notify us promptly at legal@area43labs.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

Area43 Labs may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that is harmful to other users or to the App.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Hack, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its underlying systems
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the App using automated means
• Use the App to transmit spam, malware, or any harmful or unlawful content
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App or its related services

Area43 Labs reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these rules.

In-App Purchases and Refunds

The App may offer optional in-app purchases (such as one-time purchases or consumable items). All purchases are processed exclusively through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Important:

• Area43 Labs does not collect or store your payment card information — all billing is handled by Apple or Google
• All purchases are final, except where Apple or Google's refund policies apply
• To request a refund, contact Apple Support (Apple devices) or Google Play Support (Android devices) directly — Area43 Labs cannot process refunds on your behalf

Pro / Premium Subscription Terms

The App offers an optional Pro subscription that unlocks additional features, including household sync and enhanced functionality. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store on a recurring basis.

Auto-renewal: Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access to Pro features until the period ends.

Expiry: When your subscription expires or is cancelled, your access reverts to the free tier. Your data is retained; only premium features become unavailable.

No prorated refunds: We do not offer prorated refunds for the unused portion of a subscription period. If you cancel mid-period, you retain access until the period ends, but no partial refund is issued.

Affiliate Links

The App may display affiliate product links (e.g., moving supplies via Amazon Associates or Home Depot affiliate program). Tapping these links may open an external retailer's website in an in-app browser. Area43 Labs may earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through these links. The presence of affiliate links does not affect the price you pay.

Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, content, logos, and trademarks, is owned by Area43 Labs and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written consent.

Your data: You retain full ownership of any data you create or enter into the App (including box labels, item names, and photos). By using the App, you grant Area43 Labs a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and transmit your data solely to provide the App's functionality. We do not claim ownership of your content.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Area43 Labs disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:

• Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
• Any guarantee of uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation of the App
• Any guarantee that defects will be corrected, or that the App or its servers are free of viruses or other harmful components

Your use of the App is at your sole risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Area43 Labs and its officers, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App, even if Area43 Labs has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

This includes, without limitation, loss of data, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, or any other intangible losses.

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, Area43 Labs's liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

Termination

Area43 Labs may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users, Area43 Labs, or third parties.

You may stop using the App at any time. If you have an account, you may delete it through the App's settings or by contacting us at legal@area43labs.com.

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) shall survive.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delaware.

Changes to These Terms

Area43 Labs may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via an in-app notification or email (if you have provided one). The updated Terms will be effective upon posting.

Continued use of the App after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the App.
